Pottery Barn Dream Glider Recliner

I also have the dream deluxe glider and it was very expensive but let me tell you I lived in it for the first month of my LO's life and still use it every single day.

We went with her Dream Swivel Glider Recliner (manual) and it was worth the cost. So comfy!!

4'11" checking in, I felt this question in my soul haha. We went with this chair from PB Kids after trying it in store. The width, depth, and height of the back all felt great for my body (on top of being short, I have a longer torso and shorter legs 🫠) https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/dream-recliner/ I like that I can sit all the way back in it and get up without "scooching" forward incrementally. Worth noting that the deluxe version with all the fancy controls has different dimensions. I found those extras didn't really do anything meaningful for me. Would highly recommend trying them out at a local store if you can!

I got the dream deluxe swivel glider recliner from pottery barn. My friends swore by it and said it was the best thing they ever did for the nursery. It's pricey even when one sale though.

I will say my feet still dangle maybe an inch or two off the ground when I'm *all* the way seated back in the chair. When I was still recovering from my c-section, I compensated for this by putting a little pillow in the back (honestly, it was one of those tailbone cushions that like an inch thick) or having a very low foot stool nearby. But once I was healed and more mobile, extending my foot that extra inch to push off the floor was enough to keep rocking. I'd seen posts from other parents saying this chair develops a "creaking" sound. I've started to notice sooome of that for us, but it's not so loud yet that it grates on my nerves or keeps my baby up. It may worsen, or maybe this is all that it'll be. I still think this was the best chair for my short self lol.

I went crazy over this! Ended up driving quite far to try things in stores. It was just impossible to pick online. I was underwhelmed by Babyletto Kiwi (it's not cheap but wasn't mega comfortable). I loved the pottery barn deluxe dream recliner but was $2200!!! and they have huge delays. The non-deluxe one in my view is ok-ish but absolutely not enough to justify it's price tag. The deluxe one you can adjust everything, the headrest, the lumbar part, etc. makes a huge difference. So in the end.. I went to a La-z-boy store and found the most comfortable customizable recliner. and then found it on sale on wayfair.. It's the neo power recliner. I decided if I am going to invest in a chair I want it to be amazing.

The dream, but I don't know that it would've mattered as they're likely manufactured by the same factory and it was just a mechanical component that broke. Just know what you're getting into with their customer service
