La-Z-Boy Recliner

Skip the baby specific ones and go to lazy boy! Hands down, it's been our best purchase ever. They have a line of more modern chairs that aren't the ugly stuffed brown clouds of yesteryear.

We were grateful that we had enough cash gifts from our baby shower and splurge on a Lazy Boy electric recliner/rocker. We bought it on Boxing Day (similar to Black Friday) and got $1,000 off. We put so many hours on that thing, rocking baby to sleep, nursing and bottle feeding him. being napped trap in a chair for hours, it was very important for us that it has good back support. It is our most used baby item. During newborn stage, that chair got 20 hours/day between my partner and I. When I'm not using it for baby, my partner works on his laptop when he's wfh.

I will forever and always swear by La-Z-Boy recliners for rocking babies! You can recline the back without kicking out the footrest and still rock. It has been the best thing ever. They can be pricier but frames like the collage and pinnacle can more affordable!

I went crazy over this! Ended up driving quite far to try things in stores. It was just impossible to pick online. I was underwhelmed by Babyletto Kiwi (it's not cheap but wasn't mega comfortable). I loved the pottery barn deluxe dream recliner but was $2200!!! and they have huge delays. The non-deluxe one in my view is ok-ish but absolutely not enough to justify it's price tag. The deluxe one you can adjust everything, the headrest, the lumbar part, etc. makes a huge difference. So in the end.. I went to a La-z-boy store and found the most comfortable customizable recliner. and then found it on sale on wayfair.. It's the neo power recliner. I decided if I am going to invest in a chair I want it to be amazing.

We have a La-Z-Boy Neo Power Rocking Recliner with a glider add-on. It is built for tall people. I use a stool for my feet when I nurse since I am not tall. But it's super comfy and versatile! It also has a built in cup holder, phone charger, and removable device holder. We got it for 50% off and paid a little extra for the fabric warranty. Everything, including bodily fluids, is covered under this fabric protection warranty, with the exception of mustard. It's not cheap but the quality is evident and we know this will be in our family for a long time.

Ok so we don't plan to have a nursery but what we decided to do as far as rockers go is splurge on a good lazyboy recliner. The one I picked was pricy but extremely comfortable with great lumbar support, we got the exact color and fabric I wanted, it has the perfect "rock" and I've already started using the recliner a ton in pregnancy because I'm so tired and achy and just want to hibernate in front of the TV 🤣 plus we don't have to get rid of it once baby outgrows a rocking chair. I highly recommend this option!

We decided to go with a "custom" glider from la-z-boy. We paid about $600 and got an amazing glider that's more "furniture" than just a piece of nursery furniture and was more comfortable and affordable than basically anything we sat in at pottery barn, buybuy baby, etc.

I got a lazy boy and love it. It's so cosy, I've even slept in it and baby isn't even here yet haha!

We got a Lay-Z-Boy. You can get dead stock colors for cheaper just chat with an associate. They have lifetime warranty and are made in the US. They hold the patent for separate recline and foot support. I didn't like a lot of gliders specifically for nurseries the recline option is tied to the footrest. You can also get a general rocker or a glider base, they also have a 360 swivel base as well.

I went LaZboy and tried out a bunch until I found one that was comfortable for me. It's been the biggest hit for all my guests too lol

We have a la-z-boy rocker recliner and we're getting ready for baby #3 with it. It's not crunch at all but prioritizing my comfort for something I use ALOT with babies is worth it.

I also got a LaZBoy! Nicely discounted, and definitely high quality. Ours is light, so it was nice to learn that a lot of their fabrics are water resistant and easy to spot clean

I was really looking into this gilder as well, but after trying out quite a few in store I found that it was really important to try it out! I bought a recliner rocker from Lazy boy and I love it. Highly recommend it if you have one near you.

We also got a la-z-boy and have used it through all 3 babies! Squeaks some if I'm rocking really far back and forth but Little Rock's are no problem and it's so comfortable. Plus when we no longer have babies we plan to use it down in our living space

I went to La z boy and asked to try the shortest/smallest recliners they had. They looked up the stats in their system, and It worked great!

La-z-boy pinnacle, good price and we love it!! Had a little squeak after a while, but I oiled it and it's silent again.

Not granola, but I am pretty sure this is the La-Z-Boy we have. It does squeak a tiny bit, but I think that's acceptable for a rocking recliner that we nursed and contact-napped in for literally a year and a half, including my bigger husband with 90th percentile babe. We ended up getting the Liam recliner from lazboy. It's a pretty cheaply made chair and I can tell the foam pad you sit on isn't going to last all that long, but damn is that thing comfortable and I swear it changed my breastfeeding journey.

My impression is the old lazboy is great but they've gone downhill in quality in recent years. I can see that in our chair- the whole thing seems made of particle board, the footrest mechanism is kind of janky, and the foam pad you sit on is pretty thin. That said we still bought it because it is damn comfortable! I just have realistic expectations about its lifespan.

I didn't feel it was overly firm, I also put soft blankets on my nursery recliners. I got a La-Z-boy for my first and I absolutely hated it, too soft and deep to comfortably breastfeed and the rocking mechanism wasn't as smooth as a glider.
