Penaten

We started with sudocream but I felt like it wasn't really protecting my baby's skin so I tried penaten (I think that's the spelling) and I'm never going back! It has cleared up so much! Plus you can use it for all types of rashes as baby grows

I was also using Sudocrem and then Aquaphor when my daughter suddenly got a diaper rash around 5 weeks. Those creams did nothing. Penaten got rid of the rash almost immediately. Unfortunately she's still a little red around the anus because of the constant sharts but the nurse we saw recently said it's normal due to acidity in poop at this early age and to keep doing what we're doing- wash cloth instead of wipes, lots of air and allow bottom to dry before applying cream.

We use a non medicated barrier cream for every diaper change. Was loving the penaten clear daily protection cream but now I can't find it anywhere! So we switched to good old Vaseline and it's great. Still not a single bout of diaper rash to speak of. We do have desitin medicated for when a rash hits but don't use it. For daily useage you don't need a medicated cream (aka a white cream.)

For everyday I like sudocream but for serious diaper rash I use penaten, for the "diarrhea" rash (I.e. when on antibiotics) I do dry time as much as humanly possible. . . My older girl was on meds at 8mos and I legit just let her be naked all day and just cleaned up messes as they happened 🙃 for night id layer soaker, sheet, soaker,sheet in like 5 layers and just peel them as they got wet when she or I would wake up then a big bath in the morning.

We use Penaten! We were also initially applying diaper cream after every diaper change, but it led to more problems. After a recent hospitalization (unrelated reason), one of the nurses advised us to limit the diaper cream to when there was a significant rash, and only use Vaseline for regular changes. This really helped our little one's overall skin health!

Daily use I've been using live clean baby diaper ointment. I like it since it's in a tube and I can just squeeze it on. I like penaten when he's teething though since it's thicker.

Penaten if he has a rash. We use Vaseline if no rash since it tends to stop the poop from sticking.

For daily use I just use Vaseline petroleum jelly. Cheap, convenient, and effective, and no white residue everywhere. I used penaten for actual rashes with my daughter, but I've found calmoseptine works much better so I use it for my son.
