I have the Monte glider and I wouldn't replace it for the world. Found it on fb for $300 and it retails for $1600 I think. You can surely find one in your area, they're the highest rated, ergonomic nursing chairs. My husband with sciatica was able to use it without causing him back trouble (rare).

We have a Monte with ottoman purchased in 2016 during my first pregnancy. Our youngest (and last) is now four, but the chair is still in our primary bedroom and used by me as reading and snuggle chair several times a week. I wanted somewhat would be comfortable for me to use for bedtime snuggles and middle of the night rocking, but also work well when kids are older, while also being attractive. I don't regret our purchase. It's significantly more comfortable than most nursery chairs I've sat in at friend's house.

We just bought a Liam motorized recliner from marketplace for our second nursery. I'm so surprised to hear you say it's cheaply made? It's not as well made as our Monte but it is a less expensive chair overall with more features.

I think I have this exact one (it's a Monte but from crate & barrel so it had a different name, Milo maybe). The back and seat are suuuper comfy. But the arms are too tall and skinny for me to be comfortable. I always had to use a bolster pillow to hold my arm or else just sort of hover. And when my newborn was taking 3 hour contact naps that killed me.
