We have the Infant Optics and don't have anything bad to say about it; we really like it. It's reliable, affordable, and non-wifi (which was our top requirement). Plus, the company sends you a free camera w/proof of a review of the monitor, which makes it easier to watch LO in more than just one room. I personally never wanted "sleep data" b/c it'd drive me nutty (info overload), so that wasn't something I was looking for.

We used the infant optics monitor. It broadcasts its own WiFi signal and it's only like a good 200 feet signal. While I liked a lot of features, 2 that really stood out was the ability to add a second camera (1 cam in each kids room but only needed one monitor) and the fact that when we traveled to our cabin, I just had to power them on, then they were connected again. No need for internet.

I owned an infant optics monitor for a couple years, (from what I hear that is a long time for them to last). I recently moved and set up the infant optics monitor in my son's room. I turned it on and the screen started having an imprint of an image on it that would not go away. I decided to replace it. I found this monitor, looked at the other reviews, saw the price and ordered within 5 minutes! This was the best impulse purchase I could have made! I am so happy with it!! The night vision is great. There is no "pairing" process, it just auto connects.

We tried the Infant Optics but it kept saying out of range when it definitely wasn't. Also, if the monitor was too close to other appliances in the house that use wifi, it would sometimes give an error message and the screen would turn off. We now have the Vava and I love it. The picture is clear and has good sound quality. The only downfall is the camera had to be plugged in, but that seems to be the case with most monitors.
