Nestig

We went with the Nestig. It's a 3-in-1 and starts out as a bassinet. It also comes with all the convertible pieces so it can be turned into a full crib, and finally, a toddler bed. I like that I didn't have to buy all the pieces separately. And it's solid wood and beautiful.

I've bougt the Nestig Cloud crib (twice for each kid). I love the aesthetic and it's held up really well from mini crib to crib to toddler bed. It was really important to me to buy something that could act like a bedside bassinet when they were little but could also convert so I would only need to buy one thing and not 3. It's a been a bonus that it converts to a toddler bed too. I don't think about it when buying it but the 3-in-1 is really nice.

I have 2 of the Nestig cloud cribs - 1 is in crib form for my 2 yo and the other is a toddler bed for my 4yo. I've used both from birth (mini crib, to crib, to now toddler bed) and I love them. I originally purchased it for the aesthetic but they've held up REALLY well and I recommend them to all my colleagues having babies.

okay sooo we got the nestig woodland cloud crib as a gift and baby girl isn't here yet but in terms of other things.. it's GREAT. It is made to order so takes a little time to ship, but wow. It's so nice. The items that you need to convert to full size and then toddler come in different boxes completely so you don't have to open them up and you can just store them. it has an 18 year warranty, which is really really awesome.

I love my Nestig as well. It was the only crib small enough for our space too

There are several comments in this thread from new accounts… calm down. Sometimes people create accounts just to comment on something that interests them. I feel like your review is a bit harsh… I love woodworking and to compare this crib to ikea is over the top. I have a lot of cheap furniture, ikea, etc… and I have high end furniture, and furniture I've built. This is somewhere in between something I'd build and the higher end items. I thought about building my daughter's crib but opted to not because it's a massive investment of time to come up with something maybe as good as the nesting. Obviously it's mass produced, otherwise you'd be paying 5 times the cost. It's OK. The price is fair. At this price point you shouldn't expect much more. I'm happy with it. It looks cute and the wood that's exposed to wear is solid and will be easily repaired if scratched. No cheap veneers. It's a solid build. Nothing to worry about with safety or splinters where the baby will be sleeping. Anything sharp you touched was certainly on the cheaper bits of material that attach the removable ports to the frame. Overbuilding those components would be a waste. People can like it and not be corporate shills.

So I have the cloud crib. It took forever to ship. I do believe at least part of the wood comes from brazil. Assembly was awful, but we love the crib. Very sturdy, looks amazing. Doesn't seem cheaply made to me.

I have the Nestig and have been using it over a year now. I agree with the odors and construction. However, to get something truly handmade would cost much more, unless you know someone. Also, crib construction has certain regulations. I really loved that the wave had wheels because in those early days gently rocking the crib was a life saver. Also, the mini crib was very easy to move room to room - we don't have stairs. All in all, I think the construction is like you said, a nice Ikea product. Would I buy a different crib? No, probably not, because I was really pleased with the exception of the odors...we bought the crib before the baby came and washed the mini crib mattress and tried to off-gass it as well. At the end of the day, it worked well and was within our budget.

I just received mine in the mail! Still waiting on the mini-crib conversion kit, and the mattress upgrade but I like it so far. Some of the pieces don't align perfectly, which is a bit of a bummer given we spent about $1900 CAD total, but it is made of real wood, and I like the functionality of the wheels. It is a bit lower than I expected, which I suspect will be fine for me (5'7"), but may be a pain for my husband (6'0"). That said, it is the perfect height for our bed so if the bassinet is ro

Thanks for the review! I felt the same way about our Nestig and I returned it. The reviews made it seem like it was some premium crib but it was just okay. I didn't like that the mini crib was so far down. I'm not even tall but it's quite a reach to grab baby. I ended up returning it and getting another crib that was way less and is perfectly fine.
