We love our Britax poplar. I do no have the S version but it is still incredibly solid in the car and doesn't have any wiggle at all really installed rear facing with their seatbelt click tight feature for install. So easy once you do it the first time it's a breeze. And my 1yo has been in it since 7 months and loves it. No more screaming like in his infant car seat.

So I've bought about 4 different convertible car seats because I'm very particular about what I like in a car seat. I would highly recommend the Britax Poplar we have that for our 2.5yr because it allows her to rear face until 50lbs, it has the easiest install I've ever experienced and it's been a breeze strapping her in!

2nd for the poplar. We have a Subaru forester and it was one of the only rear facing that fits without pressing against the back of the front seat for two tall adults. We can still squeeze two adults or our large dog into the backseat as needed. It's the install that won it for us - I bought a Graco for grand parents car and we literally could not install it without wiggle despite careful following of instructions . Returned it for another poplar which installed super solid in 3 mins. The only car seat they could install themselves as they don't want it permanently in their car.

Bought multiple Poplars (own car + grandparents). Fits Subaru Forester without pressing front seat for tall adults. 3-minute solid install vs Graco that wiggled. Grandparents could self-install — strong endorsement of ease.
