I swear by Motherlove nipple cream. It's organic and works amazing! The only thing that helped during the first few weeks of breastfeeding.
Swears by it; organic; only thing that helped in first weeks of breastfeeding
Mother Love all the way! It works so fast and so well. Doesn't smell and didn't leave a stain. A little goes a long way too so the small bottle lasts a while.
Works fast and well; no smell or stains; economical (little goes a long way)
Mother's Love is the best! I prefer it over all the other natural/hippie creams and it doesn't smell as strong as coconut oil and it's silkier than lanolin
The best; preferred over all natural creams; silkier than lanolin; less smell than coconut oil
Team Motherlove Nipple Cream 4ever! My LC also clued me on on sparingly using Neosporin on a true crack, just wipe it off before feeding and stop using it once the broken skin heals. I'm allergic to aloe & lanolin so the hospital's lansinoh, tucks, & dermoplast went untouched.
Team Motherlove forever; chosen because allergic to lanolin and aloe; LC-endorsed
Agree!! Motherlove just melts right on, I love it! Earth Mama was so dry in comparison.. I also couldn't stand the smell.
Loves it; melts right on; preferred over Earth Mama which was too dry with bad smell
Yup Motherlove was the mvp in the early BF days. Amazing stuff
MVP in early breastfeeding days; amazing stuff
I love Mother Love!!! I use it to lube up my flanges then apply after pumping
Loves it; dual use for pump lubrication and post-pump application
Motherlove was awesome. I had a thrush issue (treated with meds) and I liked knowing this was naturally antifungal to prevent a new overgrowth. Lanolin was a little too sticky for me and some babies have an allergy to it, so I always tried to wipe it off which was a hassle. It was also bad for thrush because it can trap in the fungus
Awesome; naturally antifungal helped with thrush; preferred over lanolin for texture and safety
Motherlove Nipple Cream! You can buy it on Amazon as well as the normal places. It is not sticky like Lanolin, so it goes on easier. When you are extremely sore/tender, you don't want to be pressing down to spread out the sticky Lanolin.
Not sticky like lanolin; easier application on sore/tender nipples
I have tried earth mama and mother love, motherlove is by far better.
By far better than Earth Mama after trying both
Motherlove has been my go-to, and it works wonders
Go-to product; works wonders — consistent use and strong endorsement
I love Motherlove nipple cream. Just a tiny bit on each nip and I'm good to go!
Loves it; small amount is effective; quick and easy application
Another vote for Mother Love! Works great, is easier to spread on than lanolin and you don't have to wipe off prior to breastfeeding like you do with lanolin.
Works great; easier to spread than lanolin; no wiping needed before feeding
Mother love is my favorite! I can't use lanolin sure to an allergy.
Favorite product; chosen due to lanolin allergy — good alternative
Mother love makes awesome, clean products. Their whole line is great and they're a pretty small operation out of CO.
Awesome clean products; whole line is great; small company ethos appreciated
Hi! I like to use Ameda's triple zero lanolin cream to help with dry, sore, and cracked nipples. I also use the nipple cream by Motherlove. I find that one to be more soothing than anything. I linked those two products. Hope that helps!
More soothing than anything else; used alongside lanolin for different purposes
Ugh lanolin for pumping sucks. I don't know how you lived with the sticky discomfort. You need a slippery nipple cream like mothers love (olive or coconut oil will do assuming no allergy). I hate the Earth Mama nipple cream, but I like it more than lanolin in a pinch.
Recommends as slippery alternative to sticky lanolin for pumping
Motherlove Nipple Cream has been great for me. (Btw, an LC told me lanolin actually can irritate the skin. Maybe try stopping that one altogether and see if other solutions take care of it..)
Great for them; LC informed that lanolin can irritate — chose Motherlove instead
I experienced the same thing. I did not find relief using silverettes, and found they made my nipples burn. I was also using the recommended nickel free 999 silver ones. I find rotating between lanolin nipple cream and the motherlove nipple cream helpful. I also use heat or ice packs depending on the day and how my nipples are feeling.
Helpful in rotation with lanolin; provides relief where silverettes failed
