I looove our whale shaped skip hop tub. She's 9mos and roughly 27lbs. It's adjustable and has been the best, even when she was a newborn.
'Looove', 'the best', works from newborn through 9 months/27lbs, adjustable — enthusiastic
Came to say the same thing. It's the Moby 3 stage. We love it. Perfect for newborn stage and we still use it now at 18 months (he's not happy in the big tub yet, mostly because he loves this one so much).
'We love it', 'perfect for newborn stage', child prefers it over big tub at 18 months — enthusiastic
We had the skip hop Moby bathtub and loved it. Used it until he was almost 2
'Loved it' with extended use until almost 2 years old demonstrates strong satisfaction and longevity
We use the Skip Hop tub and we love it. You can use it anywhere. My daughter is almost eight months old now and we still use it to save water in the full size tub.
'We love it', versatile ('use it anywhere'), saves water at 8 months — enthusiastic with practical benefits
Another vote for skip hop! My son is still using it at 10 months. Yes he would be totally fine at this point to sit in the full bathtub, but this lets me save weather and contain him!
Still using at 10 months by choice, saves water, contains baby — enthusiastic continued use
I have the skip and hop whale one. The sling has two positions and is removable once the baby wants to sit upright . I've Been using it for a year now. No issues.
Describes functional features (two sling positions, removable), one year of use with no issues — solid positive
Skip hop! Our baby is 18 lbs at 3 months.
Recommends for a large baby (18lbs at 3 months) in a thread specifically about big babies — implies it handles size well
I like the Skip Hop whale for a big baby bathtub, lol. I know you don't want it, but I can still put my 2 year old in it in a pinch.
Still fits a 2 year old, describes it as good for big babies — positive endorsement of longevity
My baby is also huge and once he was too big for the baby tub but couldn't sit, we had to get in the bath with him. Now that he can sit, we put the skip hop in the tub and he is able to sit in the sling part and play in the bath. We fill up both, but fill up the baby tub part a little higher and it stays weighed down (plus is also the baby tub keeps his little toys from floating away)
Creative extended use — baby sits in sling part even when able to sit, keeps toys contained, practical solution
We liked our skip hop moby and then used one of the bath seats that suction to the tub walls once he could sit up around 5-6months.
'Liked' indicates positive experience; transitioned at 5-6 months which is standard, no complaints
I used the skip hop mobey dick whale bathtub. Its a 3 in 1. Newborn stage uses a sling for baby to lay in like a hammock. By 3rd stage baby just sits in the tub without the sling. If you domt.have a tub, and decide to use the kitchen sink you can try the flower pedal thing ive seen at Target.
Describes stages clearly (sling hammock for newborn, sitting without sling by stage 3) — factual positive
So, for the 4 to 7 (8? Maybe?) month stretch, I just sat in the bathtub with my baby in my lap once she outgrew her Frida bath but still needed help sitting up. Once he got really good at sitting we started using the Skip Hop Moby baby tub again (without the sling in it at all). 9 months old now and we kind of alternate between bathing with the baby or bathing him in the baby tub.
Returned to Skip Hop at 9 months without sling — versatile enough to use across stages, alternates with co-bathing
We have a skip hop whale at both of our parents' houses and he's happier in that, but it just takes up too much room in our apt. Thanks!
Baby is happier in the Skip Hop than alternatives, but notes it takes up too much room — positive with space caveat
I liked the skip hop for infancy but by 5 months we switched to a bath seat. We have the ingenuity one and I like it a lot but I'm sure plenty of brands are great
'Liked' for infancy but switched at 5 months — positive for early stage but limited longevity for big babies
