We tried a lot of options and our daughter did the best with Phillips Avent Naturals. I also loved Herobility for its unique shape.

Boon Nursh have been spectacular for us! With the Curve nipple. We used Phillips avent for our first but chose Boon for the second to avoid plastic and not have to deal with the heaviness of glass.

I use glass bottles from Dr. Brown and Philipps avent Both work great. I never used any other and I put those on the registry before I knew if baby will like em or not. But there's a baby bottle box from baby's list you can get different brands different forms of nipples etc. to figure out which you like best with your LO

I love the avent bottles with the lansinoh nipples. We did also use lots of Dr brown at fist cuz that's what we were gifted and that is unfortunately but predictably what the little one showed a preference for. I stopped nursing when his first tooth came in around 6months. Before the tooth erupted, dude was already willing his head up while latched so the nipple stretched and popped out of his mouth… I gave him 3strikes once that tooth came in and we were done. I exclusively pumped from th...

We use Avent Glass also! we had 3 small and eventually replaced with 3 large, perfect amount for us. We exclusively pumped for most of that time, but I imagine for EBF it may still be a good number if you want dad to take feeding shifts or plan for daycare, etc.

1) if you have the collar and nipple from evenflo balance narrow they fit on lifefactory glass bottles. 2) I did try evenflo balance wide on different bottles but I don't remember which collar they fit in. I had a couple different collars/bottles and tried several nipples to find the best for my baby that had oral ties. It was one of the avent or wide Dr browns I think. Pigeon fits perfectly in the standard anti colic avent collar, and that collar fits perfectly on glass avent naturals. Pigeo...

That's what I used! The glass philips avent bottles with silicone sleeves. Baby loved them from 5months to 13 months old when he switched over to sippy cups only.

We did the avent glass bottles. I promise you ...they hold up to being dropped. They're thick AF. I accidentally kicked one down some stairs and it survived. Also they have silicone sleeves that fit them perfectly on Amazon if you really want some added protection. My only gripe with them is that I've had one or two of the collars not twist on properly (albeit after MANY uses/ washes) and I had to replace them. Other than that I love them.

We use avent glass bottles and the evenflo balance nipples with them. It works great for my baby who also sometimes nurses.

Phillips Avent was great for our baby

Also, different brand nipples can fit in other brand's bottle collars. We had a bunch of Phillips Avent bottles and just used Lansinoh nipples in them without any issues. The Phillips anti-colic tongue insert was useful for a bit too, so it was a good combo.

My baby liked Avent after we bought 8 Dr. Browns! In hindsight I recommend trying a small amount before assuming baby will like anything m. That includes diapers, wipes, lotion etc.

Evenflo balance wide neck. The nipple latch closely resembles that of a boob, good for EBF babies who also take bottle once in a while. Always recommended by other similar reddit posts to this, that's how I discovered them and they work great with my 8 week girl who 90% nurses and 10% bottle feeds breastmilk, after rejecting the nipple on Dr Brown's and Philips Avent

I also have used the glass Avent bottles. Two babies in, they haven't broken unless we've dropped them from high up onto a hard tile. Otherwise, they've lasted 2 years. They don't have the triangle nipple though but neither of my babies have had any issues with the nipple. Also, I like the various nipple flow options.

Philips avent glass, my baby is 9 months and we have 12 in the rotation. I like to wash bottles once a day so we usually have a few extra and a few in the diaper bag. We stopped breast feeding at 4m because of latch issues.

IMO the biggest downside of glass is that they are heavier It delays the kids ability to hold their own bottle ans adds to the repetitive strain you experience on your hands and wrists as a parent. I used avent and they were super sturdy.

Agreed! The "boob" shaped nipples, like Avent or Boon or Comotomo are actually poorly designed and promote a straw-like latch/sucking skill. Probably fine if your baby is exclusively bottle-fed, but for babies that will also be directly breastfed a lot of the time, you want a gradually flared base so baby can latch similarly to how they latch on a boob. Babies take up a lot of breast tissue into their mouths with a good latch, not just the nipple! So you want a bottle nipple shape that allows fo...

The first bottle we tried around 6 weeks was Philips Avent - she took to it and the flow was great. We tried other bottles after but they kept choking her. Seems like these are a fan favorite when I researched. Around 3 months we started trying our glass Dr Browns anti colic bottles (which didn't work initially). She is totally fine with these. I'm really not sure about the anti colic features. Our girl was super gassy & still is. One thing your cousin can get is a variety bottle pack via Ba...

Also big fans of the Philips Avent natural flow glass bottles here! 👋🏻 Although we also bought two of the plastic anti-colic ones as they work with the same nipples. The only thing we didn't like about Philips Avent was the nipple size 2 as our baby could hardly get anything out of it even at just 2 weeks. We switched to size 3 early and it's been working great.

This is what I've read and plan to use this time around! We used dr browns in the beginning with our first because we were terrified of gas but all the stupid parts were ridiculous to wash. We switched to avent much later on because we liked that the nipple didn't leak unless sucking as she began to try to hold the bottle but that wasn't quite a necessity I suppose.

Evenflo wide nipples, I use glass bottles but evenflo doesn't make them so I use their nipples on Phillips avent, mam, and dr brown wide bottles. I think these nipples are more breast like in shape bc they're wide and have a shorter teat.

We have something like 18 bottles and are EFF. Our dishwasher doesn't sanitize, so we bought a sanitizer/dryer and use it a ton. (Really came in clutch when our baby had thrush.) We also have a bottle washing wand because we wash by hand. I'd recommend getting a variety of bottles with different nipples to see what your kid will like. Preferences can change, too. Our kid liked Phillips Avent until about 2 months old, then it was all Lansinoh. Dr. Brown have been neutral from the start. We als...

I use Phillips Avent with a size 1 nipple. Baby is 5 weeks, this is the only one she doesn't choke on, after trying just about everything else. She liked the Lansinoh, too but I find myself having the Philips because they fit my pump.

You are not overthinking, I did the same thing. We also wanted glass. We tried dr browns glass and philips avent glass and both worked fine. People complain about the dr browns parts, but it did not bother me because we use the baby brezza bottle washer. It holds the bottles and has dedicated spots for the vent pieces, so I am not scrubbing each one by hand. If you are exclusively pumping, having something that makes cleaning easier helps a lot. I would not buy eight of one bottle right away. Ma...

Ok so YES THESE NIPPLES, but I used a different glass bottle and they were much better than the avent. Starts with a G - if you are interested, lmk and I'll look it up. I might still have them if anyone is interested… tho I may have donated them literally this past weekend.

Philips Avent natural. My baby was 90% breastfeed and would take these bottles without any issue. I used glass at home and plastic for on the go.

Our LC recommended them! I was glad because I already had Avent bottles from my first baby and I didnt want to switch. They are working out really well.

I agree, my baby seemed to feel smothered by the wider nipples on the como tomo, boom, and nanobebe… oddly enough we don't have that issue with the Avent natural.

You can still buy Philips Avent glass bottles, if that helps. They're pretty widely [available](https://www.target.com/p/philips-avent-glass-baby-bottle-with-natural-response-nipple-4oz-3pk/-/A-84084513) in the US at least. Used them with my first breastfed baby and am about to reuse them with my second.

I have a close family friend who is an IBCLC and asked her if there's a bottle she thinks is best because I've seen things about how they should pass the "triangle test" and whatever. She told me that the best bottle is the bottle your baby will take. I like the Avent Natural bottles because the nipples don't leak if you just hold it upside down like a lot of other bottles like the Dr Browns do, but that's just my own personal preference and thankfully both of my babies have liked them.
Positive overall with minor caveat noted
I exclusively breastfeed since the beginning with an occasional bottle here and there when I need to step out. I use Philips Avent bottles with level 2 flow. My son drinks fine with it and does not seem to have any issues latching while breastfeeding after whole day of drinking from the bottle. Note: I did not introduce bottle until after a week after he was born so not sure if nipple confusion early on is a thing.
Generally positive context based on recommendation/usage
A nurse told me that "nipple confusion" is usually more of a "flow preference" (bottle milk flows faster so they prefer that to nipple). She recommended "paced feeding" with the bottle to counteract. Sent us this video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuZXD1hIW8Q We've had to combo feed for some time and not had any issues with baby wanting to feed from /latching to the breast assuming milk was available. We use the Philips avent bottles with the nipples sized to his age, used 3mm f...

Wait this just blew my mind. Trying it next pump! FWIW Phillips Avent (not the anti-colic kind) are my 7 week old's favorite. And we tried so many! Slow flow, size 1 nipple. Everything else is a disaster.

We have the Philips avent glass ones. My plan was to EBF as well, but baby was jaundiced, had a tongue tie, and lost more than 10% of her birth weight. We were readmitted to the hospital for light therapy at 3 days pp and she couldn't latch because of the tongue tie. So I switched to exclusively pumping until her jaundice was gone, her birth weight was gained back, and we got the tongue tie released. We've been back to EBF since about two weeks pp. Having bottles, a drying rack, and the othe...
