I live in Hawaii and love my linen Sakura Bloom Scout! Haven't had issues w baby getting too sweaty even when hiking. Hood is clutch for the sun too! Also I used a gifted Moby wrap during newborn stage and it was so hot I could only use it early morning or late evening. But so cuddly for baby! Thinking of a k'tan for next newborn.
'Love', no sweat issues even while hiking in Hawaii, hood useful for sun — enthusiastic endorsement in tropical climate with active use
My simple silk Sakura Bloom scout is really breathable. It fits both me and my husband. If baby is comfortable facing out by then I recommend the Happy Baby Revolution. I find facing out keeps us both cooler because there is less snuggling, but can be overstimulating for baby. The nice thing about the Rev is that it can switch easily from outward to inward facing. It also fits us both.
'Really breathable' in simple silk, fits both parents — specific fabric choice and shared-use advantage

Planning to 'mostly depend on' Scout for summer, silk is 'extremely light weight, supportive and breathable', more textile options than Happy Baby — detailed functional endorsement
I have the Sakura bloom scout in linen and find it extremely breathable. I live in the mid-Atlantic and it's generally in the mid-90s and humid (read: miserable) and I can still tolerate my 18 pound baby on my chest!
'Extremely breathable' linen version, tolerates 18lb baby in mid-90s humid heat — strong breathability endorsement in harsh conditions
