I disagree that the lark isn't good for humidity, I live in florida & it's pretty lightweight imo. it just launched in november so I haven't tried it during the summer yet, but we've had some pretty toasty days and it's been fine! their hemp generally is pretty breathable- I lived in their hemp meh dai last summer. the lark my personal fave of the options (but I echo the recommendation to try a meh dai too if possible!)
'Personal fave', Florida heat context, hemp breathable, pushes back on humidity concerns — enthusiastic endorsement from hot climate user
I really like the Hope and Plum Lark carrier. Natural fibers, apron style, and no padding. It's so much more comfortable than my ergo omni breeze!
'Really like', 'so much more comfortable than Ergo Omni Breeze', cites natural fibers and apron style — direct comparison win over mainstream competitor
The Lark feels great! I don't have near the amount of back pain ( still some, but my back is extra bad, lol) but what I noticed was that it didn't cause residual back pain like others have caused, and also it sits up high enough that I didn't feel hindered or slowed down with my 18.5lbs baby on the front. But it does feel more breathable/cooling than the ergobaby breeze bc of the fabric on the Lark and next to no padding - which it doesn't need! Lol, I'm like wait, is this actually that good?!?...
'Feels great', less back pain than others, more breathable than Ergobaby Breeze, 18.5lb baby, 'is this actually that good?!' — enthusiastic surprise at quality, baby's carrier strike is unrelated to product
If you liked the cross back straps of the Embrace, then the Lark has the same strap configuration and fits the rest of your criteria. Definitely lightweight and breathable. I've reached for it many times this summer. The Happy Baby has H style straps so that's the biggest difference. I wrote up [a comparison](https://www.reddit.com/r/babywearing/s/FmZxiYEANS) of the two with photos so you can see the difference. And as the other commenter said, if your baby is less than 3 months or is on the sma...
'Definitely lightweight and breathable', reached for it 'many times this summer', wrote a comparison review — repeated summer use, cross-back strap advantage
i would ditch the blanket and hat and use a large sun hat for yourself or umbrella, or stay in the shade as much as possible. babies release heat through their heads and feet so i wouldn't cover them if she's running warm. make sure you're wearing a shirt that covers your chest as that's going to be cooler than skin to skin. also maybe consider swapping carriers at some point. i have 2 larks by hope&plum that are the same style as embrace and i find them cooler than that thick stretchy material ...
Owns 2 Larks, cooler than Ergo's 'thick stretchy material', uses in 100° summers — repeat purchase and direct heat comparison, no significant issues
How big is your baby? The Lark is hemp/cotton and I've found it fairly breathable; does front and back carry; it packs down pretty small; and I bought it largely because it is similar in structure to the Embrace. But it generally doesn't fit until about 3m.
'Fairly breathable', hemp/cotton fabric, front+back carry, packs down small, Embrace-like structure — positive but measured tone, notes 3-month minimum fit
I had a ergobaby embrace when my kid was younger and now we use the integra solar. We also like the hope and plum lark, but the fabric is slightly less summer friendly in my experience.
'Like' the Lark but 'slightly less summer friendly' than Integra Solar — positive ownership but notable caveat for hot weather specifically
