Pediatrician recommended rectal ! We use the Kinsa one! It can also be used via armpit/mouth but I will get new ones before using them elsewhere. The probe has a silver tip and you stop insertion at the end of the silver part- very visible even with Vaseline/Aquaphor on. It comes with an app that I have found extremely helpful with managing illness! 10/10
'10/10', 'extremely helpful' app, pediatrician recommended, specific design detail about silver tip.
We've used the Kinsa Bluetooth one. In Canada they made us do temp checks with it and then the hospital one right after and it was only ever .2 degrees off the hospital thermometer.
Validated against hospital thermometer, only .2 degrees off. Specific accuracy data.
