I got the Wabi steam Steralizer and dryer. Used the 8oz dr browns bottles and they fit great. Loved the dryer function. Broke down and got a Wabi UV sterilizer/ dryer for fabric things and more delicate pump parts that couldn't take steam. Life changing for me to wash something and set it to dry in a machine and not have to wait hours for it to dry. The UV one also worked wonders for baby boys that we could only wipe off but were still suspect because of fabric of whatnot. And drying favorite t
Got Wabi steam sterilizer — 8oz Dr. Brown's fit great. Loved dryer function. Also got UV version for fabric/delicate pump parts. 'Life changing.'
I have been using a Wabi since I started college in 2017. It's made a huge quality of life improvement. I echo what others have said, definitely get one with a built in dryer. I had a Philips one without a dryer and it was much more of a pain.
Using a Wabi since 2017 (college). 'Huge quality of life improvement.' Long-term durability for CF nebulizer equipment.
I kinda love my Wabi Baby UV sterilizer, especially for its drying function. Gets the job done quickly and doubles as a storage rack. It is a splurge and I'm sure other sterilizers can achieve the same thing. It takes up a lot of counter space but not bad considering I use it to store parts too.
'Kinda love' the Wabi UV sterilizer. Drying function, gets job done quickly, doubles as storage rack. Acknowledges it's a splurge.
I got the Wabi. Did not know about the CF discount, so I sourced it on one of the resale sites. The CF clinic mentioned it as an option for equipment cleaning, but they must not be aware of the discount option. I made sure I got the one with drying cycle, as they said it was important I got one that also dried items. Can you tell me how you do your cleaning? As soon as I am done with therapy I put the dismantled pieces in a plastic container with tap water and washing up liquid (I read somewhere that Dawn is the one to use), leave it there till I am ready to run the Wabi, generally overnight. Then in the morning I rinse the pieces with tap water and run the Wabi, using distilled water in the heating plate. The pieces stay in the sterilizer till I am ready to use again. I put in the nebulizer parts as well as Aerobika and the mouthpiece of a PTF device, but not the little turbine because it has a metal mesh (which I begrudgingly have to sterilize separately 🙃) Does that seem an ok routine? Do you seen any problems with it?
