Through the first year, we used the Frida nose sucker and it was great (and cheap)!! After that, our daughter morphed into an escape artist, and we had to upgrade the equipment… The Grownsy has been amazing!
'Amazing' — upgraded to Grownsy when toddler became mobile; solves the problem the manual couldn't handle with an active child.
Hard upvote on the "it'll get you sick" bit. I have used both and I much prefer the electric snot sucker. We use the grownsy electric one and it's very effective at getting the gunk out - much better than the manual nose frida. At 1yo+, my baby also loves the electric one and she often asks me to help her when she's sick. I also got sick with the nose frida almost every single illness because it required me to suck it.
'Very effective'; 'much better than the manual nose frida'; baby loves it and asks for it. Strong positive with health benefit (no more catching colds).
We have a grownsy one (on Amazon and only about $30) and love it. The manual ones have their place but for a quick suck I prefer the electric one.
'Love it' with price point ($30); prefers electric for speed. Positive with practical detail about value.
I tried two brands. NoseFrida broke after five months. I replaced it with the Grownsy sucker. It's way better. Frida has great marketing. Some of their products are good, but not always the best.
'Way better' than NoseFrida electric which broke after 5 months. Strong comparative positive.
We have the grownsy and it's great!
'It's great!' — simple enthusiastic endorsement.
I used to use manual one but I misplaced it somewhere then I went for electric one. Honestly thought the noise might scare bub too but it didn't. I went for grownsy mainly cause it has a soft silicone tip, quiet motor, and adjustable suction, much gentler and more efficient than manual option that I used before
Chose Grownsy for specific features (soft silicone tip, quiet motor, adjustable suction); found it 'much gentler and more efficient' than manual.
If it feels too expensive, honestly just shop around and compare a few options, pick something that hits a good balance between price and performance. I've been using the Grownsy spa aspirator. What I like is the whole process, you start with a mist to loosen things up, then suction everything out, and finish with another mist to soothe. That setup works really well IMO. I've seen a couple other brands with similar features too, but this one cleans things out really thoroughly.
Describes full workflow (mist → suction → mist); 'works really well' and 'cleans things out really thoroughly'. Detailed positive experience.
I have the same issue with the manual one so I bought an electric one (I bought the Grownsy bc it seemed to have better reviews than the electric Nose Frida). So far it's been great, and much less intimidating to use than I feared.
Chose Grownsy over electric NoseFrida based on reviews; 'been great, much less intimidating to use than I feared'. Positive experience.
Get saline packs. My ped recommended using two per suck session and it loosens all the mucus up. We also use the Grownsy nasal aspirator. It was a learning curve, but we started doing saline into one nostril while sucking the other nostril and boy does my baby feel better. All you need a saline!!
Uses Grownsy with saline technique; 'baby feels better'. Positive with specific usage tip about learning curve.
It's on Amazon by a brand called Grownsy. We also had the FridaBaby one but it broke instantly
Recommends Grownsy as their electric choice; FridaBaby electric 'broke instantly' in comparison — implicit durability endorsement.
We use the grownsy and works well. https://a.co/d/03r6xg6e
'Works well' — simple positive endorsement with link to product.
I have the grownsy one which I like. It plays music and lights up, which is fun for him
'Like' it with specific feature detail — music and lights entertain the baby. Positive with feature-specific appreciation.
We got the grownsy nasal aspirator like it. Our son doesn't mind it
'Like it' and son 'doesn't mind it' — mild positive, notable that baby tolerates it well.
I have the Grownsy nasal aspirator. No spray but there are pretty lights and a song that he loves before the suction he hates. I would be careful with the spray because you have to use a certain type of water or saline, not sink water because of brain eating amoebas. I just buy a separate saline spray and use it right before aspirating.
Uses Grownsy with specific detail about lights/song features baby loves; practical safety advice about water type. Positive with helpful context.
Grownsy or NoseBot. NoseBot is the best but expensive. I had two Fridas die before buying these. I wish I would have just started with the Nozebot.
Recommends Grownsy as a viable option alongside NozeBot; two Fridas died, suggesting Grownsy is more reliable. Positive but secondary to NozeBot.
Yes! Today! The Nozebot is fantastic! I just upgraded from the grownsy and my toddler prefers the nose bot and it works SO well. I didn't believe it and was so sure it was overpriced. Nope. Worth every penny
Upgraded FROM Grownsy to NozeBot, implying Grownsy was insufficient; toddler prefers NozeBot. Mixed — Grownsy served but wasn't enough.
I owned a Growsy one. It is weak and barely sucks out any snot. I went to an urgent care for kids yesterday, the doctor recommended the Dr. Noze Best and she said that was the only one works best and has strong suction. I'm looking for one. Seeing my son with stuff nose and having trouble with sleep just break my heart.
'Weak and barely sucks out any snot' — clear negative experience; doctor recommended upgrading to NozeBot.
