Boon Nursh

We love our boon nursh bottles and both boys have taken to them well. I love that the milk doesn't touch plastic and that I can pump straight into them with my sprectra. This time around I got the straw cup attachments. And I didn't think about using the flat caps to turn them into snack containers - that's genius! So far I just use those to transport home expressed milk without getting a nipple dirty.

Boon Nursh have been spectacular for us! With the Curve nipple. We used Phillips avent for our first but chose Boon for the second to avoid plastic and not have to deal with the heaviness of glass.

FWIW, my Chicco duos don't fit on my knockoff Spectra flanges. They look and feel like they should, but they don't quite screw on. Maybe they work with OG Spectra flanges though? I'm pumping into either glass bottles or Boon Nursh bottles. The glass ones are Matyz and need a gasket to stay screwed on securely, which is annoying to wash. The Boon Nursh bottles needed a special adapter. There do seem to be quite a few adapters out there for different bottle types though, if you have a different bottle you'd rather use. The Phillips Avent bottles also screw onto the Spectra pumps, but they aren't incredibly securely screwed on, and I didn't like the size options - the small was too small, and the large would have been incredibly bulky and heavy. (They are NOT lightweight glass bottles). I'll second the recommendation for Chicco Duos anyway though. My only complaint is that the nipples didn't work well for my baby (replaced them with Lansinoh and Pigeon), and they don't get dry in the dishwasher like full glass bottles do.

I liked the boon bottles for my LO when he was weeks old and we were struggling to breastfeed. After while we went EBF and that has been much better for both of us. He now needs bottles again as I am going back to work (5mo old now) and he is rejecting everything, we also tried all the bottles you mentioned. I'm considering trying thyseed and other more breast shaped bottles as he really just prefers the breast. I think they can just be picky and you have to try different bottles 🤷. Good luck!

Agreed! The "boob" shaped nipples, like Avent or Boon or Comotomo are actually poorly designed and promote a straw-like latch/sucking skill. Probably fine if your baby is exclusively bottle-fed, but for babies that will also be directly breastfed a lot of the time, you want a gradually flared base so baby can latch similarly to how they latch on a boob. Babies take up a lot of breast tissue into their mouths with a good latch, not just the nipple! So you want a bottle nipple shape that allows for that, too! My breastfed babies both liked the Lansinoh bottles, and my second baby refused any other bottle. But she had no problem with the Lansinoh.

I don't get all the hate for the Dr. Brown's parts. It's really not that bad ime. I use Dr. Brown's narrow (without the sleeves 99.9% of the time) in both glass and plastic. I haven't used them yet, they're still sitting in my Amazon cart, but maybe check out the Boon Nursh for a non-plastic, non-glass option. The default nipple doesn't pass the triangle test, but they sell one that does. A couple things to consider though: -Your baby may ultimately make this decision for you. You might do all this research and find that they won't take what you choose, that their reflux is bad with what you choose, etc. Don't buy too many of anything until you know what's going to work for your baby. -Many daycares won't allow glass. If baby will be going to daycare, make sure to check their policies and have an option that'll work.

I love the boon nursh (curved niple replacement) ! You can squeeze the air out of the silicone pouch depending on how full it us and what oz cup you have, the preemie flow is really slow- gotta squeeze for a drop when upside down! My LO has no problem sucking it out though and theyre usually very hungry and serious about food lol Slow flow is also pretty slow! I find silicone to be ideal budget and health wise, this is one of the only silicone bottles with a decent latch nipple shape 🫶 When I did glass I like gulicola, but vented bottles frustrated me to no end
