I've had the Philips for over three years with no issues. STM using it for both babies
Highly upvoted (20); exceptional durability — 3+ years, used for 2 babies with no issues; strongest longevity endorsement
Wasn't something we put on the registry as we didnt think we needed one. Counter space is limited here. That being said, we got the Philips Avent warmer as a hand me down from my brother and it is now a fixture on our countertop and we use it for every feed. One of those things we didn't think we needed but now we love it. Would recommend.
Despite limited counter space concerns, it became 'a fixture' used for 'every feed'; initially skeptical, now enthusiastic — 'we love it, would recommend'
I got a Philips Avent as a gift and I thought it was going to be another thing that takes up space and didn't need. I was wrong. We put it next to the changing table, so every late night diaper change in those early weeks we just put the bottle in, and it was warm by the time you got done with the diaper change. It was really convenient and made those sleepless nights easier.
Initially skeptical but converted; specific workflow detail — next to changing table, bottle warm by end of diaper change; 'really convenient' and 'made sleepless nights easier'
Yes!! I am a nanny, soon to be mom, and I'm getting the same one my nanny family had: the Phillips bottle warmer. It was so convenient and easy.
Used it extensively as a nanny (professional experience); so positive she's buying the same one for her own baby; 'convenient and easy'
I used both the Dr brown and I'm still using the Phillip avent one because my daughter still prefers warm milk! After having both, I would lean more towards the Phillip Avent because it fits different size bottles since their bottles are wider. My daughter used Dr brown bottles and I eventually switched her to the avent glass bottles so I'm glad I had the avent bottle warmer. She know uses the Dr brown with the straw since she's a toddler and I still put them in the avent warmer 😊
Used both Dr Brown and Philips Avent; prefers Avent for wider opening fitting different bottles; still using it into toddlerhood
We had the phillips avent one. It was a great purchase. We started out doing the boiled water in a coffee cup but the bottle warmer was so much more convenient and at that stage of your life convenience is worth so much
Owned it, 'great purchase'; directly compared to boiled water method and found warmer 'so much more convenient'; values convenience during newborn phase
I have an avent bottle warmer and I love it. We just pour into a bottle, make sure the water is the right level, and press a button. Ready in minutes. My baby has taken cold milk when he's had to but I'm afraid it will hurt his tummy. If you end up not using it you can always gift it or sell it
Loves it; describes simple workflow (water level, press button, ready in minutes); practical advice about resale if unused
I use the Avent one and I love that it has a one hour "keep warm" function. It heats based on the size of the bottle but I use the 3 oz setting for a 6 oz bottle and its warm enough and faster. I also use it for heating baby food.
Loves the keep-warm function; shares specific hack (3oz setting for 6oz bottle for faster warming); multi-use for baby food
We just bought a simple Philips Avent that we found on sale for $10. Worth it during those early morning feedings
Bought it on sale for $10; says 'worth it' for early morning feeds; good value endorsement
We borrowed the avent warmer from a friend and it's so much faster.
Direct experience (borrowed from friend); 'so much faster' compared to the Keurig mug method OP described
I have the Phillips bottle warmer. It works well. You just put water into it up to the same level as the milk and turn the dish to the number of oz you have. If you find it makes stuff too hot, just reduce the number of oz on the dial. If your baby is formula only, you can probably get away with room temp water for the formula. Or at least that would be my goal, initially. Then work up to cold formula is you want to make a large pitcher of formula for the day. With breastmilk, baby is going t
Describes how the warmer works well with specific usage instructions (water level, oz dial), notes you can reduce setting if too hot; practical positive review
Used hot water to our first, got a Philips Avent for our second. Definitely makes life a little easier to have a warmer.
Upgraded from hot water method to Philips Avent for second child; says it 'makes life a little easier'; comparative positive
Ive used both the philips and dr browns. Philips is definitely the most basic option and is super easy, but I did like how the dr browns doubled as a sterilizer. I used that one more often.
Used both Philips and Dr Browns; calls Philips 'super easy' and 'most basic' but ended up preferring Dr Browns for sterilizer feature; positive but not primary choice
I have the Chicco Digital Bottle Warmer And Sterilizer which has auto-shut off and beeps loudly when it's done. I also have the Philips Avent and have over warmed milk sometimes, but I was always able to cool it back down with cold water and it hasn't been an issue (just a pain when baby is in a hurry to eat).
Owns both Chicco and Philips Avent; notes Philips overwarms milk sometimes — manageable but 'a pain when baby is in a hurry'; balanced assessment
I use Dr. Brown bottles and have the Philips Avent Fast Warmer and I would NOT recommend the Philips Avent for DB bottles. It warms up fast, but the settings seem to be based on water levels relative to Philips Avent bottle sizes only, so I can never get the heating quite right and sometimes the bottles end up scalding hot. Currently I have to make 120ml bottles at the 90ml setting, and they still come out too hot sometimes. Also, I don't think the Philips Avent warmer will be tall enough once
Would NOT recommend for Dr Brown's bottles; settings calibrated for Philips bottles only; inconsistent heating, sometimes scalding hot; height limitation noted
