Found the snotty bias great. Baby giggles when we use it. I stopped using the Frieda (the air sucking one) after reading a Reddit post where someone attributed their severe lung infection to using it. Story seemed plausible enough to make me want to get rid of ours.
'Great'; baby giggles during use — unusually positive baby reaction. Switched from Frida due to health concerns.
Yep we definitely got our use out of snotty boss! Baby HATED it but it was very satisfying. Easy to use and clean too.
'Got our use out of it'; 'satisfying'; 'easy to use and clean'. Baby hated it (common for all aspirators) but product itself is praised.
Just to give the opposite advice: just get the snotty boss. We bought three aspirators before biting the bullet and just buying an expensive one. It's much better. In saying that the manual NeilMed one is almost certainly the most effective and tolerated the best by our now 14 month old.
'Much better' than the three cheaper ones bought before; recommends it outright. But qualifies that manual NeilMed is 'most effective and tolerated best' — positive with nuance.
Snotty boss has worked great for us, just make sure to keep it clean and follow the instructions
'Worked great' with practical advice about cleaning and following instructions. Straightforward positive.
Another vote for the Snotty Boss! However, Ours needed to be replaced recently and I couldnt believe how much it costs now so I had to order a dupe from Amazon.
Recommends it (votes for it) and repurchased when it broke, but shocked at current price — ordered Amazon dupe instead. Positive on product, negative on value.
I have the snotty boss and also the free manual nasal aspirator which comes with baby fess spray. Weirdly I prefer the small manual one. My baby hates both but the manual one gets more out and quicker. You definitely need the fess baby spray through, that significantly helps loosen congestion.
Owns Snotty Boss but 'weirdly prefers' the free manual one which 'gets more out and quicker'. Negative for Snotty Boss — outperformed by a freebie.
Ageeed! I have Frida snot sucker which is quick and effective, easy to clean. I also have snotty boss electric one and it is not efficient. You have ti spend longer getting all the boogers out which is tricky when babies/toddlers are so wriggly
'Not efficient'; takes longer to get boogers out; difficult with wriggly babies. Clear negative compared to manual Frida.
Have the snotty boss and dont really rate it. Find the NeilMed manual one the best - easier fit into the nostrils and easier to clean compared to the Frida.
'Don't really rate it' — owns it but prefers NeilMed manual. Clear dissatisfaction without elaborating on specific failures.
We have a snotty boss. Have attempted to use it twice. Both times it kinda did nothing tbh. Maybe user error? There's also a thousand warnings on it about using it in a particular way, if you don't the snot will get in the motor and break it, which suggests to me that the design is probably kinda crappy and they've probably had a bunch of issues in the past. If I had known that before I got one I wouldn't have bothered.
'Did nothing' both times; design criticized for fragility (snot in motor risk); 'wouldn't have bothered' if known beforehand. Strong negative.
